ANOTHER HORSE FACTS LOVER
MORGAN RING: ELEVEN-YEAR-OLD HORSE LOVER
Morgan Ring goes to Northwestern Middle School in a rural town in Pennsylvania. She got her beautiful horse, Sage, because her “sister LOVES horses,” she says.
Morgan’s sister was looking for a horse, and a friend told her she’d give her a Mustang called Little Bit and a stallion named Sage. Morgan said that her sister, “of course, said yes,” and the horses joined their family. Sis decided she wanted Little Bit, so Morgan latched onto Sage.
Sage, the Mustang stallion, was adopted from the wild when he was five years old. Morgan says he still hasn’t lost his wild ways. She was very cautious when around him at first, but now he walks right up to her. She says they have bonded and love each other, and she’s training him to ride. She is one of the few people to whom he listens.
Morgan says she loved reading my Keystone Stables books, especially number seven, WHISPERING HOPE. She told me she’s going to try some of the horse whispering techniques that Skye, my main character, uses in the book to train her wild mustang.
When asked why she loves horses so much, Morgan said, “I love riding them and having a good relationship with them.”
Way to go, Morgan. Ride on, girl!
